Founded in 2003 by former ENI engineers and executives, Electronics & Innovation, Ltd. (E&I) has been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing rugged, reliable RF power amplifiers. Located in Rochester, NY, our facility is where innovation meets precision—every product is designed, assembled, and tested to meet the highest standards.
Our amplifiers have undergone rigorous testing, including military evaluations, and have proven to be even more reliable than the original ENI amplifiers. Unlike the old ENI models, our products are CE marked, RoHS compliant, and meet all relevant emissions and safety standards.

2001 - A Turning Point
ENI, a long-standing RF amplifier manufacturer, officially sunsets its analog amplifier product line. The move leaves a void in the market—and sparks an opportunity for innovation.
2003
November 2003 - E&I's First Board Meeting
In a fittingly informal start, the founding team holds its first board meeting at “Tony’s Tavern.” The vision: to rebuild what was lost and set a new standard for rugged, reliable RF power.
2004
March 2004 - Electronics & Innovation, Ltd. Is Born
E&I is officially incorporated in Rochester, NY—founded by former ENI engineers and executives determined to bring a new generation of RF amplifiers to life.

June 2004 - First Office Opens
E&I establishes its first physical home at the Lennox Tech Center. With a small team and big ambitions, development of the company’s first amplifier begins.
2005
January 2005 - First Purchase Order
The company receives its first order: the 2100L RF power amplifier. The buyer is Alonics, and the product will set the foundation for E&I’s early growth.

February 2005 - First Shipment Sent
E&I ships its very first amplifier: a 2100L. It marks a major milestone—turning prototypes into revenue, and vision into product.
2009
July 2009 - Expansion to a Larger Facility
With growing demand, E&I moves to a larger facility on Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road. The new space supports expanded manufacturing and engineering operations.
2010
August 2010 - 100th Unit Shipped
The 100th 2100L rolls off the line. The milestone is a testament to product reliability, growing customer trust, and a steadily expanding client base.
2014
April 2014 - New Headquarters at Research Drive
E&I moves into a significantly larger space at 150 Research Drive. The new facility doubles square footage, allowing for higher production volume and expanded R&D.
2016
May 2016 - Launch of the S-Series
The company releases its next-generation S-Series power amplifiers, designed to meet evolving needs in medical, research, and industrial markets with improved efficiency and precision.
2018
2018 - OEM Support
E&I expands its offering to include OEM amplifier modules—compact, board-level solutions engineered for seamless integration into custom systems.
2022
November 2022 - New Leadership
Jeff Keller is named President of E&I, ushering in a new chapter of growth, modernization, and strategic expansion.
2024
2024 - GaN Amplifier Launch
E&I introduces its first amplifier built with Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, offering improved power density and efficiency—continuing its tradition of innovation in RF.
