E&I Announces Upcoming Conferences

As summer comes to an end, it is always nice to have something still to look forward to. E&I is looking forward to the sunny skies of San Diego. We will be exhibiting at the 2010 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium from October 11th – 14th. The 2010 IEEE IUS will bring together more closely the ultrasonics communities around the world to further the research and development of ultrasonics theories and applications. These annual conferences began way back in the early 1960s, since the conference has continued to grow to more than 1000 attendees. Some areas of interest include: medical ultrasonics, sensors, transducers, physical acoustics and microacoustics. Read more

E&I will also be exhibiting at the International Conference on Ultrasonic Measurement and Imaging of Tissue Elasticity (ITEC). This takes place on October 16th – 19th in Snowbird, Utah. The ITEC provides a unique forum that gathers researchers from several different countries and disciplines - ultimately contributing to the rapid development and clinical introduction of this new medical imaging technology. This area of interest is still relatively new, with its earliest efforts beginning about twenty years ago. New applications in this field consist of breast and prostate cancer detection and evaluation, monitoring of kidney transplant characterization in cardiovascular disease, and skin & tissue engineering.
